I cannot select faces, or the gray model geometry is not visible

Face selection works on the metallic-gray original geometry. How to bring it back when the viewer is showing something else.

In Loads & Restraints, face selection works on the metallic-gray original geometry. If you do not see it, turn off the other Display toggles, then click Model until the gray geometry appears (Display toggles and the 3D viewer). Face selection will not work without it.
